401(k) - A Comprehensive Retirement Plan

The 401(k) plan, the most popular retirement plan option for large- and medium-sized companies, can also be a good choice for some small businesses. Options include tax-deductible company matching contributions and/or profit sharing contributions.

401(k) Benefits
  • Optional Employee Participation
  • High Contribution Limits
  • Flexible Contributions
  • Vesting Schedule

SIMPLE IRA - An Easy Way to Save

The Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees (SIMPLE IRA) is an economical way for an employer to sponsor a retirement plan. Employees can elect to defer a portion of their compensation into the plan and you make a matching contribution. The plan's contribution requirements are flexible, so it tends to be appealing to small-business owners. To sponsor a SIMPLE IRA, an employer must have 100 or fewer employees and must not maintain other qualified plans.

SIMPLE IRA Benefits

  • Optional Employee Participation
  • Higher Contribution Limits
  • Simplicity
  • Immediate Vesting
  • Tax Savings

SEP IRA - A Better Choice for Small Businesses and the Self-Employed

The Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) plan is a low cost retirement plan that enables employers to make discretionary tax-deductible contributions for themselves and their eligible employees. In most cases, there are no Internal Revenue Service reporting requirements, and the paperwork is minimal.

Establishing a SEP plan requires setting up an IRA for each eligible employee. You contribute directly to your employees' IRAs, and have the flexibility to control the amount from year to year.

SEP IRA Benefits

  • Generous Contribution Limits
  • Cost Flexibility
  • Little Paperwork
  • Immediate Vesting
  • Tax Savings
